Summary
Cytidine deaminase-like (CDA) superfamily
This clan contains cytosine, guanine and cytidine deaminases, which are collectively known as the CDA superfamily. This family has been divided into two classes based on the active site residues. The first class utilises one histidine and two cysteine residues for zinc co-ordination. The second class uses three cysteine residues. There domain consists of a three layered alpha/beta/alpha structure. Structural comparisons have demonstrated the central beta sheet and immediately surrounding helices are structurally conserved [1].
This clan contains 4 families and the total number of domains in the clan is 8480.

Structures
For those sequences which have a structure in the Protein DataBank, we use the mapping between UniProt, PDB and Pfam coordinate systems from the MSD group, to allow us to map Pfam domains onto UniProt three-dimensional structures. The table below shows the mapping between the Pfam families in this clan, the corresponding UniProt entries, and the region of the three-dimensional structures that are available for that sequence.
